Culture Night Aug. 22

Culture Night, Reykjavík's largest anniversary and partner festival, will be held Saturday, Aug. 22, 2026.

You could say the festival is the highlight of the summer, with fun events coloring public life in the city center from morning to evening.

Evening walks this summer

Evening walks is an event series organized by Reykjavík City Library, Reykjavík City Museum, and Reykjavík Art Museum.

The walks are free and take place Thursday evenings from 8–9:30 p.m. throughout the summer months, unless otherwise noted.

Want to get your events out there?

Anyone can submit events to the city's event calendar.

Submitted events appear on City Life at borginokkar.is and are also available for other platforms to pull from — visir.is and the GJUGG app, for example, both draw their event listings from the same source.
